Memory Care Room

Our secured ten bed Memory Care Unit is designed for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia illnesses.  Wilton Retirement Community has established a Memory Care program designed to accommodate a resident’s entire family.  The goals of the program include approaching the resident’s care for multiple facets and involving family in all aspects of care. It is the goal of the Memory Care Unit at Wilton Retirement Community to meet the emotional, physical, and psychosocial well being of residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia related illnesses.  These needs are met through a variety of individualized programming focusing on the remaining strengths of the individual.  A quiet, consistent environment is a priority for the residents of the Memory Care unit and it is understood change often has an adverse effect on Alzheimer’s and dementia residents.
